2007 Getting to Know your Friends

I got this email today from Catherine Idso, (Catherine Edwards from high school). I thought I'd post it for posterity sake.

Welcome to the 2007 edition of getting to know your Friends. What you
are supposed to do is copy (not forward) this entire email and paste
it onto a new email that you'll send. Change all the answers so they
apply to you, and then send this to a whole bunch of people, including
the person who sent it to you. The theory is that you will learn a lot
of little things about your friends, if you did not know them already.

1. WHAT TIME DID YOU GET UP THIS MORNING?

6:45 am, early morning Sunday meetings.

2. DIAMONDS OR PEARLS?

Neither

3. WHAT WAS THE LAST FILM YOU SAW AT THE CINEMA?

Distrubia with Stac Saturday night, we were the oldest in the audience by about half again as the next youngest.

4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE T.V. SHOW?

Probably Dirty Jobs or LOST

5. WHAT DO YOU USUALLY HAVE FOR BREAKFAST?

cold ceral : Honey Nut Cheerios (why do they even make those regular
ones any more)

6. FAVORITE CUISINE?

I love all kinds. A great filet or fresh sushi are near the top.

7. WHAT IS YOUR MIDDLE NAME?

Bowen, my maternal Grandmother's maiden name.

8. WHAT FOOD DO YOU DISLIKE?

Beets. I think they taste like dirt. (Fresh Peas are awesome)

9. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CD AT THE MOMENT?

10. WHAT KIND OF TRUCK/CARS DO YOU DRIVE?

Ford Expedition, cause its the only thing big enough to fit the family
and the in-laws when they come AND its not a mini van :)

11. FAVORITE SANDWICH ?

The Midnight Cuban : A pork tenderloin with grilled onions on an
amazing roll with a garlic mustard from Pase's in Seattle. The most
amazing sandwich in the world.

12. WHAT CHARACTERISTIC DO YOU DESPISE?

Smuggishness

13. FAVORITE ITEM OF CLOTHING?

My Northface shorts

14. IF YOU COULD GO ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD ON VACATION, WHERE WOULD IT BE?

I am with Catherine, back to Kauai, the most beautiful island.

15. WHAT COLOR IS YOUR BATHROOM?

Some sort of neutral brownish color that has no name but in a paint
store, probably something like antartic seabird egshell

16. WHERE WOULD YOU RETIRE?

Well as long as we are dreaming. I'd love a home outside of Zions, one
in Kauai on the north shore and one here in the pacific northwest.

17. WHAT WAS YOUR MOST RECENT MEMORABLE BIRTHDAY?

I am looking forward to this years 40th passing, viewing it as some
sort of memorial day on my life.

18. FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH?

World Strongest Man contest's on ESPN 2 through 5

19. FURTHEST PLACE YOU ARE SENDING THIS?

Hmm probably wherever Taffy lives.

20. WHO DO YOU LEAST EXPECT TO SEND THIS BACK TO YOU?

Kimi due to her impetuousness

22. COKE OR PEPSI?

Neither, I have hated carbonation from when I was a little kid and I
thought it hurt my throat and made my nose hurt when I burped

23. WHEN IS YOUR BIRTHDAY?

11/24/1967

24. ARE YOU A MORNING OR NIGHT PERSON?

Both :) Probably now though more a morning person, I love getting up
early (5 am) and going hiking on the trails near our house.

25. PETS?

Fish. Which were always my "give me" to the kids when they'd say they
wanted a dog. We got a cat about 6 months ago, when Stac decided she
hated the mice more than she was allergic to cats.

We just got back from a family backpacking trip to the wild washington coast

A marine biologist

29. HOW ARE YOU TODAY?

Fantastic. Beautiful weather. Went to Church, had some friends in the
ward over for asparagus risotto and smoked salmon, went to the park
with the kids to lay on the grass and then I went for a trail run
home.


30. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CANDY?

Like Catherine I LOVE warm mushy chocolate chip cookies, I also am a
dark chocolate snob and I would eat a snickers every day if it didn't
make me fatter.


31. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FLOWER?

Trillium

32. WHAT DAY ON THE CALENDAR ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Anniversay 6/16, Family reunion on July 4th, Mt Olympus July 26th,
Ross Lake with the Young Men 8/1 and climbing the Grand Teton over
labor day.


33. SAY ONE NICE THING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU.

Catherine always had a smile and the curliest hair of anyone I knew.
She always reminded me of Charlie Brown's girlfriend.
