Hiking Briones April 2003
After the recent
hike with the scouts, we decided to hike
as family in Briones. We followed roughly the same trail, except that we
drove up Old Briones Road and began from there, which means that your car
is doing a lot of the major hill climbing for you.
This is the begining of the trial head at the end of Old Briones Road.
Heading toward the gates. There are several of these along the way, mostly to keep the cows in.
The begining of the trail.
The flowers were out in bloom. The oranges ones are California state flower, the California Poppy.
At the top of the trail, is another gate.
We took the trail east of the lagoon's.
There is a nice bench on the hill we stopped and had lunch at.
We then headed through the woods.
This is a nice woody hollow where we stopped and turned around.
Following are a series of pictures of the hills and the sky that require no real comment and are provided for your viewing pleasure.
