Something we were not expecting to undertake at all was a move. We were happy and settled in California in the San Francisco bay area. However we were troubled by a couple of things, the school system was suffering. Ever since proposition 13, which effectively froze property tax for home owners, while making new home owners property taxes be market driven, the school system had slowly gone down hill. The recent budge woes and cuts only made things worse. There were few electives in Kiah's middle school and no after school sports or programs. Additionally our church community was shrinking, the high cost of living in the bay area was squeezing the middle class. When a new job opportunity came along we decided to go for it and we relocated to the Seattle area. This is the story of our big move.
