Zions National Park 2000

Zion's 2000                                                                                    

We set off for Zion's in 2000 a bit earlier, in mid October so the weather was little bit warmer. By this time we had moved back to California, so we flew into Las Vegas, rented a car and drove 2 hours to Springdale.

We stayed again at the Deseret Pearl Inn

Our good friends the Penrod's from Payson Utah drove down and stayed with us. These of course aren't their real teeth, the water is not that bad in Payson.

We went hiking up a gully to some petroglyphs, the maple trees were turning beautiful fall colors.

These petroglyphs are not marked anywhere on a map or even from the side of the road. I think the park wants to keep most folks away.

Sofi had just turned a year old.

We ended up using this photo for our Christmas card that year.

We also hiked up to Emerald Pools again.

Sofi by this time had been walking around 3 months.

We also took the river walk down to the entrance to the narrows, there was some cool mossy areas along the way.

We brought our lunch and ate down by the river.

Sofi was worn out by trips end. It was another terrific trip to Zions.
