Ovando Montana Friday July 13th 2001 312 miles

Day three, now the drive really begins to get pretty, we are on our way to visit some folks, Gary Aitken and Amber Beeson, that I (Mark Griffith) worked with during WebLogic and at BEA (after the acquisition). They worked on our GUI console for the WebLogic Server, all the while living and working remotely from the wilds of Montana. They retired from BEA at the begining of 2001. We asked if we could say howdy and they kindly invited us to spend the night with them.

Their cabin. Just behind them is a river, dont recall the name, and if you
continue across the river you dont hit another road for 100 miles, the sourthern
road of Glacier National Park. Gary pretty much built the entire thing himself,
which is part of the reason it took 9 years to complete.

Amber used to raise and sell horses, now she only raises them and is teaching some of them dressage. They only have 8 horses right now.

They have a nice stable and a huge indoor arena for winter riding

They also have a large outdoor arena

Kiah and David of course had to ride the horses

Even Sofi sat on one for a brief moment

And inside there was a cockatiel which sat on Kiah and David's shoulder

Now for some pictures of the cabin's inside. The kitchen

The living room

The back porch

The sun room

We had a great time with Gary and Amber
