Trail Info: This hike is described in Day Hike! Olympic Peninsula. Begining at the North Fork of the Quinault you climb for 15.8 miles to the high point at Low Divide, 3600 feet above sea level. From there it is a gradual downhill for the next 28.7 miles.

Two 20 minute breaks for meals
4:00 AM - Begin at the North Fork of the Quinault River. Sunrise is around 4:30 am in mid-summer.
8:30 AM - Ford the Quinault River 12.2 miles into the hike
10:30 AM - Arrive at Low Divide for a 20 minute rest stop
Noon - Cross the Elwha River to Chicago Camp
3:00 PM - Arrive at Hayes River
4:15 PM - Arrive at Remann's Cabin for second 20 minute break (13 miles left)
6:00 PM - Arrive at Mary's Falls
7:30 PM - Short but steep switchback climb from the Lillian Bridge 0.6 mile to junction with Lillian Trail. Keep Left.
8:30 PM - Pass Michael's Cabin. Keep right at all trail junctions from this point to the Elwha trailhead.
9:00 PM - Arrive at Elwha trailhead
