We flew into Kahului Aiport on Maui on Sunday March 31st.

There was a heavy cloud cover that concealed the moutain tops

We stayed on the west side of Maui, north of Lahaina and Ka'anapali in a condo
called Nohonani. It sits right on the ocean, and the surf at first is almost
too loud at night. As I heard the office manager say on the phone to a prospective
resident, "you can throw your ice cubes into the ocean." The beach
in front is not too great, ranging from a scant 3-5 feet at high tide to a
12-14 feet at low tide, but it was stil enough sand for sofi to play in.
One small nit about the condo is that it is decorated in 70's de jour ala
Miami/Hawaiin.

The green sink is a tell-tale give away.

The view from the lanai was really pretty in the morning, looking across
at the Island of Lanai. Only about 3000 people live there to service the two
5 star resorts.
