Routes - Scout Activity Possible 50 miler 2004

Destination : Tilden Lake, which has the advantage of being one of the farthest places from a road in California and is reported to have few visitors. Decided to not do Benson Lake, as it seemed too agressive.

Trailhead depature : O'Shaughnessy Dam at Hetch Hetchy Resevoir, Beehive Trailhead
Return point : O'Shaughnessy Dam at Hetch Hetchy Resevoir

This was not the first route I layed out, but this seemed more realistic.

Route Day 1 - Monday

Hike 5.7 miles gaining 2939 feet to Beehive Meadows. Start out easy the first day.

Hike 8.29 miles gaining 1828 feet to Jack Main Valley.

Hike 12.29 miles with a slight elevation gain of 531 feet and an elevation drop of 3309 feet to TilTill Valley.

Hike 7.85 miles gaining only 151 feet and going mostly downhill, 3243feet back to Hetch Hetchy Resevoir with a short stop at Rancheria Falls.
